KANSAS CITY, Mo. – NC State men's soccer junior forward Donavan Phillip was listed as one of three finalists for the 2025 MAC Hermann Trophy. United Soccer Coaches and the Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) announced the men's finalists based on voting by NCAA Division I men's soccer coaches on Wednesday.
Helping lead the Pack all the way to the NCAA national championship match, Donavan Phillip accumulated 19 goals across the 2025 season to be the leading scorer in the NCAA this fall.
The Saint Lucia native played in 22 of the 23 total games for the team this season, totaling 1,482 minutes and averaging 67 minutes of action per game.
He was named the ACC Offensive Player of the Year in November, making him the first in program history to claim the specific award.
Phillip is the highest-scoring athlete to represent the Wolfpack since Sam Okpodu scored 20 goals in the 1984 season, and he also garners the most points in a season (40) since Roy Lassiter recorded 40 in 1991.
The MAC Hermann Trophy, the most coveted individual honor in NCAA Division I soccer, has been awarded annually since 1967. The 2025 MAC Hermann Trophy banquet will be held at the historic Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis on Jan. 9, 2026, to formally announce this year's winners.
