NC State Opens ACC Slate at Miami

RALEIGH – The NC State women's basketball team is set to open ACC play at Miami on Sunday, Dec. 14. The Wolfpack and Hurricanes will tipoff at 2 p.m. at the Watsco Center on ACC Network Extra.
ABOUT NC STATE
- NC State has started the season 6-4 against one of the toughest schedules in the country, and enters into ACC play on Sunday
- NC State is No. 39 in the NET with an average opponent NET ranking (83) and NET SOS (18) stacking as the third highest among Power 4 schools
- The Wolfpack bounced back to defeat Seton Hall, 61-53, with a handful of players coming off illness. The Pack tallied its fifth 50+ rebound game of the season with 51 against the Pirates
- Zoe Brooks leads the Pack with 14.5 points and 4.9 assists per game
- Khamil Pierre is the nation's second leading rebounder and leads the team on the boards with 13.0 per game, along with having the fourth most double-doubles in the NCAA (6)
- Zamareya Jones has a team's most 1.4 steals per game
- Tilda Trygger paces the Pack with 1.1 blocks per game and has a team's best field goal percentage a .532 (41-of-77)

- NC State leads the league in rebounds per game (48.60) and defensive rebounds per game (33.6), which are fourth and second in the country, respectively. The Pack is also third in the ACC in rebounding margin (10.5)

- Miami was picked to finish eighth in the ACC Preseason Poll. The Canes went 14-15 last season and bring in 12 newcomers to the roster

- Florida transfer Ra'Shaya Kyle leads Miami with a double-double behind 15.9 points and 10.6 rebounds per game with 10 total blocks
- Quinnipiac transfer Gal Raviv logs a team's most 35 assists and 13 steals with 14.3 points per game
- Amarchi Kimpson also logs double digits in scoring with 10.7 points per game
LAST TIME OUT
- NC State bounced back with a 61-53 win over Seton Hall at home
