
Pack Finishes in Third in Rain Shortened Cullan Brown Collegiate

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The NC State men's golf team finished in third place out of 15 teams in a shortened Cullan Brown Collegiate played at Lexington Country Club.
After playing 36 holes on Monday, the competitors attempted to start the third round on Tuesday, but consistent thunderstorms forced the cancellation of the final round.
The Pack finished the event with a team score of five-under par.
Evan Woosley-Reed notched the first top-10 of his NC State career as he finished in a tie for fourth place with a score of four-under par. The Shelbyville, Tenn., native opened the tournament with a four-under par 67 and then shot even-par 71 in the second round.
Joey Lenane finished one shot back of his teammate at three-under-par in a tie for 10th place. Lenane rebounded from an opening round 72 to shoot a four-under par 67 in the second round.
Pearce Lewin and Markus Varjun each shot two-over par for the tournament to finish in a tie for 44th place.
Xander Goboy rounded out the NC State lineup in a tie for 66th place at seven-over par.
Mississippi State took home the team title with a team score of 11-under par. Kentucky finished in second one shot back of the Bulldogs.
NC State closes the spring portion of its schedule at the Williams Cup held at Eagle Point Golf Club in Wilmington, N.C., from Oct. 19-21.
