- The Pack battled back to tie things 11-all. Graduate opposite Madison Williams and senior middle blocker Jada Allen tallied two blocks to help the Wolfpack tie the frame.

The Hurricanes continued to lead as NC State struggled offensively. A setting error by Ariana Rodriguez ended a 7-0 scoring run for the Canes that sent junior defensive specialist Sydney Daniels to the service line for NC State. Daniels recorded her first service ace of the evening to give NC State its 12th point of the second set.
- Miami ended up taking set two, 25-20, despite a late rally by the Wolfpack.

The Wolfpack continued to lead but Miami minimized the deficit to two, forcing Slabe to use his final timeout.
- The Canes tied things 21-all and then took the lead after an attack error by Williams. Junior outside hitter Courtney Bryant tied things 22-all with a kill, but Miami took the next two points to reach match point. Miami won the third set, 25-23.
