No. 23 NC State Prepares for ITA Kickoff Weekend

RALEIGH, NC - No. 23 NC State men's tennis will travel to Durham NC, Saturday, Jan. 27 at 12:30PM to compete at the Duke regional in the ITA Kickoff Weekend. The Wolfpack will be taking on the No. 8 Duke in its fourth competition of the 2024 season.Â
ÂITA will be celebrating the 15th annual ITA kickoff weekend, hosting 15 sites across the country Jan. 26-29. For more information regarding ITA kickoff weekend please visit the event page for more details.
ÂThe Wolfpack head into Saturday's match picking up the pieces from a tough fight Sunday against No. 11 Harvard. The Pack fell short with a final score of 6-1. With a 2-1 record the Pack take on ACC opponent Duke in the first ITA Kickoff weekend appearance of the season. The Wolfpack wrapped up opening week defeating opponents Northwestern (6-1) and Princeton (7-0) at home earlier in the week.Â
ÂDuke Preview
Duke picked up the No. 8 spot in ITA team rankings this week. Featuring No. 21 Pedro Rodenas, as well as doubles duo No. 14 Andrew Zhang and Michael Heller. Duke opened their season last week going 3-0 against opponents, VCU, Princeton, and North Carolina Central. The Pack will be the Blue Devils first ranked opponent they have faced so far this season.Â

Admission is free for this weekend's tournament.Â

General public parking will be available in the blue zone, with the easiest entrance being at the south end of the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center. ADA parking is available in the Card Lot with an accessible entrance available on the north end of the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center. Guests with disabilities will be able to use the elevator indoors to go up to the seating level. The newly renovated addition to the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center will be accessible via a mulched path on the northwest side of the building. Guests will then be able to use the elevator to go to the seating level.
