Pack Closes Fall Portion of Schedule with Seventh Place Finish at Williams Cup

NC State finished in seventh place at The Williams Cup held at Eagle Point Golf Club in Wilmington, N.C.

Spencer Oxendine paced the Pack with a sixth place finish at one-under par. The Fayetteville, N.C., native had the low rounds by an NC State player in the first and second rounds and closed the event with a one-under par 71 on Tuesday.

Nick Mathews was next for the Pack in a tie for 16^th place. Mathews had the low round by an NC State golfer at the event, shooting a two-under par 70 in the final round.

Michael Vick was next for the Pack in a tie for 33^rd at 11-over par for three rounds.

Joey Lenane and Cade McLaughlin rounded out the NC State lineup in a tie for 52^nd place.

North Carolina finished on top of the team leaderboard with Auburn finishing in second place and Arizona State in third.

The Williams Cup was the fourth and final fall event for the Pack. NC State begins the spring portion of its slate on Feb. 19 at the Watersound Invitational in Panama City Beach, Fla.
