Pack in Seventh After Two Rounds of Watersound Invitational

Brandon Einstein led NC State with a two-under par 70 on Monday
PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. – The NC State men's golf team is in seventh place after two rounds of play of the Watersound Invitational held at Shark's Tooth Golf Club.
Brandon Einstein led the Pack on day two, shooting a two-under par 70 in the second round. Einstein was two-over through nine holes, but was fantastic on the back nine, posting four birdies to finish with a team-best 70.
Easton Paxton leads NC State on the individual leaderboard with a score of two-under par through two rounds. The Riverton, Wyo., native has shot back-to-back rounds of 71 to start the Watersound Invitational and is in a tie for 10th place.
Spencer Oxendine is next for the Pack in a tie for 23rd place at even-par for the tournament. Oxendine was terrific on the back nine Monday, posting five birdies and an eagle, as he played the back nine at six-under to finish with a round of 73.
Maximilian Steinlechner is next for the Pack in a tie for 31st at one-over par. Steinlechner shot a 71 on the first round on Sunday and fired a two-over par 74 on Tuesday.
Ethan Choi rounds out the NC State lineup in 65th place.
Georgia Tech continues to lead after two rounds and has a six shot lead on second place Virginia Tech. Alabama is in third place, one shot back of the Hokies. NC State is in seventh place, but is just three shots back of the third-place Crimson Tide.
Alabama's Canon Claycomb continues to lead the individual race and is 11-under par through two rounds. He has a six-shot lead on the field.
The Pack starts the third round Tuesday morning at 8 a.m.
