Pack Completes First Round of NCAA Championship

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. – The NC State men's golf team made its 19th appearance in the NCAA Championship Friday at the Grayhawk Golf Club as the Pack played in the first round of the annual season-ending competition.
NC State is in a tie for 28th place after one round of play after shooting a team-score of 300.
Christian Salzer led the Pack with a two-over par 72 on Friday and is in a tie for 55th place.
Benjamin Shipp is in a tie for 87th place after a four-over par 78.
Maximilian Steinlechner is in a tie for 119th place at six-over par.
Carter Graf shot an eight-over par to place in a tie for 141st place while Easton Paxton rounds out the NC State lineup in a tie for 149th place at nine-over par.
Texas Tech leads the 30-team field after one round of play after shooting four-under par as a team. Sam Houston is in second place, two shots back of the Red Raiders while Pepperdine is in third place, one shot back of Sam Houston.
Oklahoma and Oklahoma State shot even-par to sit in a tie for fourth place.
The Pack returns to the golf course Saturday morning and will begin its second round at 8 a.m. local time (11 a.m. ET).
