NOTING THE WOLFPACK (7-1)
• After defeating No. 2 Maryland and No. 6 Indiana within a week's time, NC State has earned a pair of ranked victories in the first eight games of the season for the first time since 2001-02 when it defeated No. 18 George Washington and No. 17 Old Dominion in the first five outings. This year's team is the first to accomplish such a mark against two top-10 squads.
• Through eight games, the Wolfpack is nationally ranked:
8th in three-point percentage (.408)
12th in rebound margin (+12.8)
13th in field-goal percentage (.479)
17th in defensive rebounds per game (30.6)
19th in scoring margin (+22.5)
26th in fewest turnovers per game (12.9)
29th in rebounds per game (43.4)
• NC State's overall (.479) and three-point (.408) shooting percentages both lead the ACC, and the team is also tied for the league lead in fewest turnovers per game (12.9).
• Elissa Cunane and Diamond Johnson are tied for the team lead in scoring with 14.0 points per game, and Cunane (7.4) and Johnson (6.0) are also the team's top two rebounders this season. They are shooting 53.9 percent and 50 percent, respectively, this season to both rank in the top seven in the ACC in field goal percentage.
• Five Wolfpack players are averaging 8+ points and at least 15 minutes per game through eight balanced scoring outings.
• NC State has out-rebounded and out-shot each opponent that it has defeated this season.
ROAD TO 200
Coach Moore is three victories away from 200 at NC State (197-66). The earliest he could hit that mark would be in the Pack's Dec. 12 home game against Saint Mary's.
