Wolfpack Sends Three to Finals on Day Two of Zone Diving Championships

AUBURN, Ala. – Three NC State divers qualified for the finals of their respective events on the second day of competition at the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships Tuesday at the James E. Martin Aquatic Center.
FROM THE COACH:
"Solid day," said head diving coach Yahya Radman. "We've been in this situation before. We found ourselves in a few uphill battles and responded admirably. I'm proud of this team's grit and perseverance."
MEET RECAP:
Madeline Kline advanced to the one-meter finals, her first finals appearance of the meet. After finishing among the top 18 in the prelims with a 276.95, Kline posted an overall score of 537.00 to check in at 15th overall after the finals session.
Freshman Taylor Bennett narrowly missed advancing out of the prelims as she placed 20th with the best one-meter score of her career (243.30).
Both Pack men posted top-18 marks in the three-meter prelims to move on to the finals session. Sophomore Holt Gray was the top finisher for the men, placing 10th with a 678.75, and James Brady took 15th place with a mark of 666.40.
UP NEXT:
NC State will wrap up competition at the Zone B Diving Championships on Wednesday. Both the women and the men will be in action on platform, with the women set to kick off competition at 11 a.m. EST and the men slated to compete beginning at 3:15 p.m. EST.
