
Wolfpack Has Strong Opening Day at TYR Pro Swim Series

Austin, Texas. – The NC State swimming team earned nine top ten finishes Thursday as it had an impressive opening day at the TYR Pro Swim Series inside the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swim Center.
The 400 IM was a highlight for the Wolfpack as it earned three top 10 finishes; Anton Ipsen finished second in 4:19.27 seconds, Eric Knowles finished seventh in 4:29.60 seconds and Lucca Martins finished ninth in 4:28.99 seconds. On the women's side Hannah Moore finished third as she touched the wall in 4:47.60 seconds.
NC State also secured two top ten finishes in the men's 100 butterfly with Ryan Held clocking in at 54.81 to finish eighth and Justin Ress finishing tenth with a time of 54.44.
The Wolfpack also earned a pair of top ten finishes in the 200 backstroke with Hennessey Stuart finishing fifth in 2:01.17 seconds on the men's side and Mackenzie Glover finishing ninth on the women's side in 2:12.43 seconds.
The men's 200 freestyle also saw NC State come away with top ten finishes from Ipsen and Vazaios; they tied for sixth, both finishing finishing in 1:51.04 seconds.
