NORMAN, Okla. - No. 20 NC State totaled a 194.075, good for the team’s second-best score of the season, in a losing effort Friday night against No. 5 Oklahoma.
Senior Jess Panza led the way on beam and floor with a pair of 9.8s, notching a tie for fourth on floor and fifth on beam.
Stephanie Ouellette’s 9.8 floor routine earned her a share of fourth with Panza. Ouellette also finished second in the all-around with her 38.850.
Junior Rachel Fincham’s 9.725 marked the high score on bars for the Wolfpack. Fincham has led NC State on bars in each of the squad’s last three meets.
Brooke Barr’s 9.825 vault claimed a fifth place finish. The senior has a 9.825 or better in each of four vaults for the Pack this year, grabbing at least a share of the team lead in the last three meets.
The Wolfpack’s vault represented the team’s highest scoring event of the night, totaling 48.675. The squad’s floor score fell just short of that at 48.650.
NC State wraps up its three-meet road trip on February 3 against Missouri at 7:30 p.m. before returning home on February 11 for a 7 p.m. meet against Penn State, William & Mary, and George Washington.
