
NC State Gymnastics Falls at No. 14 Auburn

Auburn, Ala. - The NC State gymnastics team narrowly fell to No. 14 Auburn 194.375-193.825 Friday night at Auburn, Ala. The Wolfpack (4-1) scored over 48.000 on bars, beam and floor, but faltered a bit on vault.
Junior Leah Sabo brought home a first place finish on beam for the Wolfpack with her score of 9.9. Not only was it Sabo's first event title of her NC State career, but it was also the first time she notched a score of 9.9 on an event. Sophomore Cori Goldstein was close behind on beam placing second after scoring a 9.875.
Sabo was also NC State's top finisher on bars placing third with a score of 9.875, and she also scored a season-high 38.950 in the all-around for third. On floor, Goldstein placed fourth with her score of 9.75, and Cara Dougherty was fifth (9.725).
NC State will be back home in Reynolds Coliseum next Saturday night, when the Wolfpack hosts the Governor's Cup. Joining the Wolfpack will be Maryland, North Carolina and Towson.
