CONWAY, S.C. – The NC State (8-2) volleyball team fell to 21-ranked Indiana (7-2) in four sets Saturday afternoon in its first match of the Chanticleer Classic hosted by Coastal Carolina.

Freshman Britni Silver and sophomore Jordan Smith paced the Pack with a combined 27 kills on the afternoon.

One: NC State established a balanced attack early in the match, getting key offensive contributions from Jordan Smith and Britni Silver to trade leads and tie the frame six times up to 14-14. Indiana then took control with a 4-0 run powered by back-to-back service aces, prompting a Wolfpack timeout at 14-18.
