CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Four members of the NC State baseball program were named to the 2026 All-ACC Academic Team, the conference announced Tuesday.
Collins Black, Rett Johnson, Chris McHugh, and Wyatt Peifer each earned the academic honor in recognition of their success both on the field and in the classroom.
McHugh received the recognition for the second time in his career, making it back-to-back seasons for the Wolfpack's first baseman.
To be eligible for the All-ACC Academic Team, student-athletes must be undergraduates who have been enrolled at their institution for at least one year, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, post at least a 3.0 GPA during each of the previous two semesters and compete in at least 50 percent of their team's contests during the most recent season. Student-athletes who completed their undergraduate degree and competed while pursuing a graduate degree this season are eligible for the ACC's Graduate Scholar-Athlete Award, which will be announced in July. The ACC Academic Honor Roll, which recognizes academic achievement regardless of athletic participation, will also be announced in July.
