Rett Johnson Invited to 2026 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Training Camp

RALEIGH, N.C. – After a tremendous freshman season, Rett Johnson will head down the road to Cary after being invited to participate in USA Baseball's Collegiate National Team Training Camp this summer.
The USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Training Camp will feature 56 of the premier non-draft-eligible college players for a five-game Stars vs. Stripes intrasquad series in North Carolina from June 30 to July 3. USA Baseball will name the final Collegiate National Team following Training Camp on July 5.
Johnson has been one of the Wolfpack's best and most consistent hitters during the 2026 season. Johnson holds one of the highest batting averages in the country among freshmen. Johnson is hitting .404 on the season and is on a 24-game hitting streak, the longest by a Wolfpack player this season. He is looking to become the first Wolfpack player to hit over .400 for a season since 2005.
The inaugural World Collegiate Baseball Championship will take place July 11-15, 2026, at Taichung City Intercontinental Baseball Stadium in Taichung City, Taiwan.
USA Baseball will announce the full Collegiate National Team coaching staff and Training Camp roster at a later date.
