Madsen Tabbed to ANNIKA Award Postseason Watch List

COLUMBUS, Ga. – Marie Eline Madsen of the NC State women's golf team has made the cut as one of 15 selected on the ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel Postseason Watch List, as released by the Haskins Foundation Wednesday. The award is presented to the top women's collegiate golfer.
The top 10 finalists for the 2025-26 season will be announced on Friday, May 15.
Madsen was also on the final fall and spring watch lists for this award.
The sophomore has continued to elevate her game, leading the Wolfpack with a 70.93 scoring average with 22 rounds at par or better and 10 rounds in the 60s. Madsen has earned three wins this season, coming at the Cougar Classic with a school 54-hole record of 15-under 198, as well as the Daniel Island Invitational and the City of Oaks Collegiate. She is coming off a tie for sixth at the ACC Championship, delivering a 6-under 210 (67-74-69). Overall, Madsen has recorded seven top 10 finishes and nine top 20 showings in 10 tournament appearances this season.
In Madsen's career, she logs a 71.09 scoring average with 44 rounds at par or better and 21 rounds in the 60s. She has totaled a school record five career wins, 15 top 10 finishes and 20 top 20 showings.
Madsen was one of 72 invited to play at the 2026 Augusta National Women's Amateur. She is ranked No. 19 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking and No. 22 in the Scoreboard Powered by Clippd Ranking.

About the ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel:
Created in 2014, the ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel is annually given to the top female Division 1 collegiate golfer; the winner voted on by players, coaches and members of the college golf media. Named for Annika Sorenstam, the award was created in partnership with the Haskins Foundation to acknowledge the top female golfer and to match the Haskins Award presented by Stifel, which acknowledges the top male Division I collegiate golfer. Mirabel Ting (Florida State) became the 12th ANNIKA Award winner in 2025.
