#23 Pack Defeated by #7 Wake Forest to Finish the Regular Season

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – 23rd-ranked NC State men's tennis collected its third consecutive loss by falling to seventh-ranked Wake Forest on the road Saturday evening to close out regular season play with a 16-6 (8-5 ACC) record.
In the final match of the regular season, NC State was unable to get on top of the reigning national champion team, seventh-ranked Wake Forest. The win allows the Demon Deacons to be outright ACC regular-season champions, while the Pack currently sits tied at fifth with two other teams in the conference rankings.
After the conclusion of all action tomorrow, seeding and brackets for the upcoming 2026 Men's Tennis ACC Championship will be announced.
Another switch-up in the doubles lineups for the Pack brought a win on court three when senior leader Martin Borisiouk paired up with true freshman Charlie Camus. However, a loss on court one as well as a come-from-behind win by Wake on court two granted the Demon Deacons the doubles point.
Martin Borisiouk was able to command 25th-ranked DK Suresh on court one in the first set with a 6-4 win, but the rest of the Pack on the remaining courts was unable to get in front of their opponent.
Wake Forest went on to claim wins on courts six, five, and four to clinch their win over NC State just under three hours of total play. The Demon Deacons sported four ranked players on six of the singles courts, with two of those players being in the top-30.

The Pack turns its attention to the postseason with the ACC Championship beginning at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C., on Wednesday. Seeding and brackets for the tournament will be announced late tomorrow, Sunday night.
