CHARLOTTE, N.C. – After closing out his collegiate career on top of the podium in Cleveland at the 2026 NCAA Championships, Isaac Trumble has been named one of the ACC Co-Wrestlers of the Year.
The two national champions for the Atlantic Coast Conference, Isaac Trumble from NC State and Aden Valencia from Stanford, have been named the Co-Wrestlers of the Year for the 2025-26 campaign.
A Springfield, Nebraska, native and six-year member of the Pack, Isaac Trumble had a commanding final year of collegiate wrestling, earning an ACC title and an NCAA title.
A finalist for the Dan Hodge Trophy, Trumble finished his senior slate undefeated at 21-0 with 15 bonus point wins for a 71.4% bonus rate across the season. During the regular season, he accumulated six ranked wins, with the most notable being over All-American Nick Feldman of Ohio State in Columbus.
Dominating the heavyweight bracket, he went 5-0 at the NCAA Championships in Cleveland, defeating (31) Brenan Morgan of Virginia by fall, (15) Brady Colbert of Army by major decision, (7) Konner Doucet of Oklahoma State by decision in the quarterfinals, (3) Taye Ghadiali of Michigan by decision in the semifinals, and (1) Younger Bastida of Iowa State by decision in the finals. Throughout the entire tournament, Trumble did not give up a single takedown to his opponents.
