Brooks, Pierre Named WBCA Regional Finalists

RALEIGH – Zoe Brooks and Khamil Pierre of the NC State women's basketball team have been tabbed as Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Regional Finalists, as announced on Wednesday. Brooks and Pierre are both two-time finalists, both receiving honors in 2025 as well.
Brooks has averaged career-high numbers with 16.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.7 steals per game. She has 26 10+ point games, nine 20+ point contests, three 10+ rebound games and 16 5+ assist games. Brooks was tabbed an All-ACC First Team selection for the second consecutive year and was one of 10 on the Nancy Lieberman Point Guard of the Year Midseason Watchlist. The point guard notched a career-high 37 points off 8-of-15 from the field and 19-of-20 from the free throw line. Her 19 free throws made and 20 attempts both broke school and JPJ Arena records.
The Plainfield, New Jersey native is fourth for most free throws made in a single season at NC State (136), as well as 10th in career assists (388), 13th in career free throws made (307) and No. 28 in scoring (1,313). Brooks is ranked third in free throw percentage (.866), sixth in scoring, seventh in assists per game and assist/turnover ratio, as well as 12th in field goal percentage (.437) and steals per game in the ACC. Additionally, Brooks is one of the leaders on the team and has played a team-high 33.4 minutes per game.
Pierre has averaged 16.8 points per game with a career-high 12.0 rebounds per game and a 52.6 field goal percentage. She has 28 10+ point games, nine 20+ point games, 22 10+ rebound games and 21 double-doubles. Pierre was tabbed an All-ACC First Team selection, her first all-conference award, and is one of five finalists for the Katrina McClain Power Forward of the Year award. Her 21 double-doubles is the second most and 360 rebounds is the third most in school history and she is ranked third in double-doubles and sixth in rebounds per game in the NCAA. Pierre leads the league in rebounds per game and double-doubles and is fifth in scoring and sixth in field goal percentage.
The Phoenix, Arizona native has scored in double figures in 25 straight games, the second best streak by a Wolfpack player this century, and her 38 double-doubles over the past two seasons is the most by a Power 4 player. She has logged two 20-rebound games, being just one of two P4 players in the NCAA with multiple 20-board outings. In her career, Pierre has 1,450 points, 843 rebounds, 131 assists and 160 steals.
The 2026 WBCA Coaches' All-America Team will be announced on Friday, April 3. The committee will choose 10 players from the list of 50 regional finalists.
