Wolfpack Picked as No. 7 Seed in NCAA Tournament

TICKET INFORMATION | 2026 NCAA TOURNAMENT BRACKET
RALEIGH – The NC State women's basketball team has been announced as an at-large selection for its 31st NCAA Division 1 Women's Basketball Tournament appearance. NC State is a 7-seed in the Fort Worth, Texas Regional 3. The Wolfpack will travel to No. 2 seed Michigan for the first and second rounds.
The Wolfpack and Lady Vols played in the first game of the season, as the Pack won 80-77 at the Ro Greensboro Invitational. NC State is 5-12 against Tennessee in the all-time series and 1-0 in NCAA Tournament games (79-72 win in second round in 2024).
The winner in the second-round matchup will punch a ticket to Fort Worth for regional play, set for Friday, March 27 to Monday, March 30. The Final Four is set for Friday, April 3 to Sunday, April 5 in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Wolfpack and Lady Vols played in the first game of the season, as the Pack won 80-77 at the Ro Greensboro Invitational. NC State is 5-12 against Tennessee in the all-time series and 1-0 in NCAA Tournament games.
NC State is 20-10 overall and finished fourth in the ACC with a 13-5 mark. The Wolfpack finished No. 25 in the NET ranking with the sixth best NET opponent average ranking in the country.

TOURNAMENT HISTORY:
The Pack has been selected for its ninth straight NCAA Tournament, 31st overall. The nine straight appearances, all under head coach Wes Moore, is the longest streak in program history.
NC State is 13-8 in first round games, 17-5 in second round matchups, 3-14 in Sweet 16 games, 2-1 in Elite Eight contests and 0-2 in Final Fours, 35-30 overall. In Coach Moore's career at NC State, he has taken his teams to 11 NCAA Tournaments along with six Sweet 16 showings in the past seven tournaments, two Elite Eight appearances and one Final Four in 2024.
