FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The NC State women's basketball team's opponents and schedule for the 2025 Women's Cancun Challenge has been released, as announced by Triple Crown Sports Friday. The Pack will play Green Bay and Southern Miss during Thanksgiving week at the all-inclusive Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya.
NC State is a part of the Riviera Tournament and will face Green Bay on Thursday, Nov. 28 at 4 p.m. followed by Southern Miss on Friday, Nov. 29 at 4 p.m. Eastern.
This will mark the first meeting between the Pack and Phoenix. Green Bay was a potential opponent in the 2024 NCAA Tournament, as the Phoenix were the No. 11 seed in the Raleigh pod. NC State and Southern Miss will face off for the second time in program history, as the Pack has a 1-0 advantage after defeating the Golden Eagles 78-43 at home on Nov. 20, 1999.
This year's Cancun Challenge marks the 21st edition of the women's event. More information will continue to be released on the event website: Cancun Challenge.
NC State's full 2025-26 season will be announced soon. Season tickets are sold out and more information about single-game and mini pack options will be released at a later date.
