
Lily King Anchors Team USA to World Junior Record Junior Championships

OTOPENI, ROMANIA - On Day 5 of the World Junior Aquatics Championships, Wolfpack freshman Lily King helped make history as Team USA's 4x100m freestyle relay team set a new junior world record with a time of 3:35.53. Swimming the anchor leg, King sealed the victory with an impressive 53.62 split to bring the record home.
King, one of six athletes named captain of the USA junior team, also played a key role in the squad's silver-medal performance in the 4x200m freestyle relay, contributing a strong 1:58.39 split.
So far this week, King has earned four medals, including gold in the mixed 4x100m freestyle relay, and two additional silvers in the 4x200m freestyle and 100m freestyle events.
