
Tyson Adams Secures First-Team All-American Honors in Long Jump at NCAA Championships

EUGENE, ORE. – Tyson Adams earned First-Team All-American honors in the long jump to kick off day one at the NCAA Championships.
Adams capped off a stellar 2025 season by earning First-Team All-American honors in the long jump, finishing sixth in the nation with a mark of 7.81 meters at the NCAA Championships. This achievement made Adams the fourth athlete in NC State program history to earn All-American recognition in the long jump.
His impressive season included capturing both the indoor and outdoor ACC Long Jump titles. He set a personal best of 7.90 meters, securing the No. 4 spot on NC State's outdoor all-time top 10 list, and recorded a 7.76-meter jump indoors, ranking No. 5 on the program's indoor list.
Other NC State competitors included Brett Gardner, who ran in the 3000m steeplechase semifinal and posted a time of 8:38.13, finishing 16th, and Patrick Tuohy, who competed in the 800m semifinal with a time of 1:47.55, also finishing 16th.
