
Chris McHugh Named to 2025 ABCA/Rawlings All-Atlantic Region Second Team

RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State first baseman Chris McHugh was named to the 2025 ABCA/Rawlings All-Atlantic Second Team, as announced by the ABCA on Tuesday morning.
McHugh, who was tabbed to the All-ACC Second team in his first year with the Wolfpack, makes it six straight seasons that NC State has had a player make the ABCA Atlantic Region Team.
In 2025, McHugh led NC State in most offensive categories. The Commack, NY. native, finished the year with a .365 average with a team-high 72 hits and 48 RBIs. In 197 at-bats, McHugh hit seven home runs and 12 doubles, with a .533 slugging percentage and a .462 on-base percentage.
Among the ACC, McHugh finished fourth in average. He recorded a team-best 10-game hit streak and 23 multiple-hit games. McHugh finished the year with 12 games, recording multiple RBIs, including a five-RBI game against Canisius. The first baseman started all 53 games he appeared in and got it done with his glove, finishing the season with a .995 fielding percentage.
The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. I All-America & Coach of the Year Committee.
The ABCA All-America team was first recognized in 1949 and now includes nine divisions: NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, NAIA, NJCAA Divisions I, II, and III, Pacific Association Division, and high school. ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams were first recognized in 2007.
