Wolfpack Named No. 2 Seed in the Auburn Regional

RALEIGH, N.C. – For the 35th time in program history, NC State Baseball will play in a postseason regional as the 2025 NCAA Tournament field was announced with the Wolfpack traveling to Auburn, Alabama, as the two seed in the Auburn Regional. NC State joins host Auburn, Stetson, and Central Connecticut.
This will be the second time in program history that the Wolfpack has played a regional in Auburn. In 1999, they played the Tigers and Tulane. Wolfpack fans looking to travel down to the plains to catch the action can purchase tickets HERE.
This is the first time in program history the Wolfpack will be heading to the postseason following a year in which they made the trip to Omaha. It is the 13th appearance since 2010 and under head coach Elliott Avent, the Wolfpack has made an NCAA Regional appearance in 19 of the past 22 tournaments dating back to 2003. Avent has now led his Wolfpack squads to an NCAA Regional 22 times during his coaching career in Raleigh.
The Wolfpack will open postseason play on Friday against the third-seeded Stetson at 2 p.m. ET from Plainsman Park and will be broadcast on ESPN+. The full Auburn regional is listed below. The winner of the Auburn regional will play the winner of the Conway regional, hosted by Coastal Carolina which includes East Carolina, Florida, and Fairfield.
