
Women’s Basketball Student-Athletes Honored on ACC All-Academic Team

RALEIGH – NC State women's basketball had multiple student-athletes named to the 2025 All-ACC Academic Team, as announced by the league's office Monday.
Maddie Cox, Zamareya Jones and Tilda Trygger, as well as Laci Steele and Lizzy Williamson were five of the 126 student-athletes listed on the league's All-Academic Team.
Cox is now a two-time honoree, majoring in business administration. She is wrapping up her sophomore year and holds a 3.833 GPA. Cox played in 30 games off the bench, tallying 7.9 minutes per game. She finished the year with a huge game against No. 3 seed LSU in the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16, logging a career-high eight points and seven rebounds in 21.5 minutes played off the bench.
Jones is a first-year member of the All-ACC Academic Team, finishing her freshman year with above a 3.6 GPA as a sport management major. Jones played in 30 games and started in two, logging 10 double digit scoring games and averaging 7.1 points per game. She finished with a career-high 18 points at Louisville and wrapped up her rookie season with 13 points, scoring 11 of her points in the second quarter alone, against LSU in the Sweet 16.
Trygger is also wrapping up her freshman year, holding a 3.8 GPA as an exploratory studies major. She was tabbed to the ACC All-Freshman Team, starting in the Pack's final 23 games of the season, playing in 34, while averaging 6.6 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. Trygger logged eight double-digit scoring games, five double-digit rebounding contests and three double-doubles, including 19 points and 10 rebounds vs. No. 1/1 Notre Dame.
Steele earned a spot on the ACC All-Academic Team for the second straight year, wrapping up her sophomore year as a business administration major. Williamson is also now a two-time selection and will graduate with a degree in special education in May.
