Pack Closes Non-Conference Action with Win over Ole Miss

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The NC State men's basketball team ended its non-conference slate with a 76-62 victory over Ole Miss Sunday afternoon inside First Horizon Coliseum.
Paul McNeil, Jr. was electric from the arc for the second consecutive game as he finished with 19 points and six made treys.
Quadir Copeland stuffed the stat sheet, finishing with 16 points, nine boards and seven assists. Tre Holloman added 16 points and Ven-Allen Lubin added 15.
Ole Miss held a 5-3 lead one minute into the game, but the Pack's defense held the Rebels without a point for over seven minutes to build a nine-point lead. Once the Wolfpack gained the lead, the Rebels were unable to top it.
NC State found an offensive surge and went on a 27-9 run to lead which included six consecutive threes, half of which came from McNeil.
The Pack pushed its lead to 28 in the second half with 13:47 to go. The Rebels managed to minimize the deficit to 14 after a 17-7 run scoring run that began with a three by Travis Perry.
NC State returns to action New Year's Eve when it hosts Wake Forest in its ACC opener. Tipoff against the Demon Deacons is scheduled for noon and the game will be televised on ESPN2.
