
Women’s Basketball Set to Play in 2026, 2028 Ally Tipoff

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The NC State women's basketball team has announced two future matchups for the Ally Tipoff, as revealed on Thursday. NC State will play Kentucky in 2026 and South Carolina in 2028 at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte.
"We are thrilled to be a part of the Ally Tipoff in 2026 and 2028," said Wes Moore. "It's been a great event for us and showcases the elite teams in women's basketball on a big stage on TV. We appreciate Ally for providing the platform to showcase women's basketball and for always being such a great supporter of the game. We are grateful for the opportunity and excited to be a part of an event that continues to elevate the women's game."
The dates, tipoff times and television designations will be announced at a later date.
NC State and Kentucky will face off for the eighth time of the all-time series, as the Wolfpack has a 5-2 advantage. In the last meeting, NC State won 84-55 at the 2023 Paradise Jam in the Virgin Islands. NC State also has a three-game winning streak on the Wildcats going into the matchup in 2026.
The Pack and Gamecocks will go head-to-head for the 35th time of the all-time series, as the Pack owns a 20-14 advantage. The Last time these two teams faced off was at the 2024 Ally Tipoff, in which South Carolina won 71-57. The Gamecocks have a three-game winning streak on the Pack.
NC State will play in the 2025 Ally Tipoff vs. No. 18 USC Sunday, Nov. 9 at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte. That game will tipoff at 3 p.m. on ESPN. Tickets for the game can be purchased HERE.
