Winkler & Jefimova Both Earn ACC Swimmer of The Week Honors

CHARLOTTE, NC – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced its weekly honors on Tuesday evening, naming NC State's Kaii Winkler and Eneli Jefimova as the ACC Male and Female Swimmers of the Week.
Sophomore Kaii Winkler and freshman Eneli Jefimova earned the recognition following their performances over the weekend at The Dual Meet Tournament hosted by Georgia Tech.
Making her collegiate debut, Jefimova swept all of her individual and relay events. She clocked an impressive 57.67 in the 100-yard breaststroke, the second-fastest time in NC State history and also posted the fastest 200 breaststroke time and second-fastest 100 breaststroke time in the NCAA so far this season. Jefimova was also on the Wolfpacks 200 and 400 medley relays which placed first in all showings throughout the weekend.
Winkler delivered a nation-leading 41.21 in the 100-yard freestyle during NC State's meet against Florida State, a time that now ranks as the fastest in the NCAA this season and third-fastest in program history.
Both swimmers are coming off a strong showing at the World Cup Stop #1 in Carmel, Indiana two weeks ago. Jefimova claimed gold in the 50m breaststroke and silver in the 100m breaststroke, while Winkler also represented NC State on the international stage.
