NC State Athletics concluded one of the most exciting and accomplished years in school history with its fourth straight top-25 finish in the Learfield Directors' Cup. The No. 21 final ranking marked just the fifth top-25 finish in school history.
"Congratulations to our student-athletes, coaches and staff who gave us so many memorable moments in 2023-24," said Director of Athletics Boo Corrigan. "I think it speaks volumes about the Wolfpack culture that we came out of the pandemic, went to work and finished among the top teams in the country for four straight years.
"And to our fans, thank you for your unwavering support and generosity. There is strength in our Pack because of you."
NC State is the only school in the nation to have its football, men's basketball, women's basketball and baseball teams finish in the top 25 for 2023-24. Five different Wolfpack squads won ACC titles this year: women's cross country, wrestling, men's swimming, men's basketball, and gymnastics. The women's cross country squad also brought home its third straight NCAA title.
The Wolfpack was just the third school in history to advance to the Final Four in men's and women's basketball and the men's College World Series in the same year, joining Texas (2003) and Louisville (2013).
NC State Athletics is also excelling academically, posting the highest multi year Academic Progress Rate (APR) in school history. Eleven of the Wolfpack's 20 teams earned a perfect 1000, while 19 of the 20 teams are above the national average for their sport.
