
Grace Hartman Named ACC Women’s Performer of the Year

RALEIGH, N.C. – Grace Hartman was named ACC Women's Performer of the Year, the league office announced Friday. Hartman was the standout performer for the NC State cross-country team during the 2024 season, leading the Wolfpack in every race she competed in.
This marks the sixth straight year an NC State runner has claimed the honor, highlighting the program's continued excellence in the ACC.
Hartman's season featured a series of top finishes at major meets, establishing her as one of the nation's premier runners. She capped her season with a 5th-place finish at the NCAA Championships, clocking a time of 19:39.5. She was joined by teammate Hannah Gapes, who finished 8th, making NC State the only school with two runners in the top 10 at nationals.
Hartman also claimed two individual championship titles. She won the NCAA Southeast Regional Individual Championship with a time of 20:04.2 and the individual ACC Championship title, where she took first place with a time of 19:15.
Other notable performances included a 4th-place finish at the Sean Earl Loyola meet (19:17), and a 6th-place finish at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals (19:15).
Additionally, Hartman was NC State's top runner at the adidas XC Challenge and finished 4th overall in 16:25.9.
Hartman's 2024 season was defined by consistent excellence and standout leadership, qualities she has solidified as part of the lasting legacy of the Wolfpack program.
