
No. 17 NC State Sweeps Louisville, 4-0

RALEIGH - The No. 17 NC State men's tennis team (3-3, 1-0 ACC) bested Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) foe Louisville (4-2, 0-1 ACC) in a 4-0 decision on Friday to secure its third home win of the season and first victory of ACC action.
DOUBLES
With a great start in doubles play, the pair of Tadas Babelis and Robin Catry got the first win of the day as they defeated Matthew Fung and Fabien Salle, 6-3.
To continue the doubles victories, Collin Shick and Yannai Barkai took down Josh Howard-Tripp and Alex Wesbrooks, also getting a 6-3 win, to secure the doubles point for the Wolfpack
SINGLES
An exciting day of singles started with three tight first sets. No. 95 Babelis and Catry both narrowly defeated their opponents 7-5 in their first sets while No. 7 Alexis Galarneau was triumphant in a 7-6(4) tiebreaker to start the match.
The Wolfpack used this momentum from the first set for the remainder of the matches. Babelis closed out his match against Sergio Hernandez for the first singles victory of the match, 7-5, 6-0. Seventh-ranked Galarneau followed soon after, defeating No. 71 Tin Chen 7-6(4), 6-2.
In a three-set match Catry pulled through, beating Howard-Tripp 7-5, 3-6, 6-2 to seal the 4-0 Wolfpack's win over the Cardinals.

"Such a great feeling to clinch the match today against Louisville," said Catry. "The guys in the stands were just awesome and gave me great energy. We battled all three sets, and it's always a great feeling to clinch. With a 4-0 win all the guys did an amazing job. First ACC win of the season, so we're 1-0! Let's go Pack!"
