Reenan Notches Top-10 Win at Journeymen Classic

All three ranked NC State Wrestlers went undefeated
TROY, N.Y. – The #8 NC State wrestling team took 15 wrestlers up to Troy, N.Y., for the annual Journeymen Classic on Sunday. The Wolfpack had strong day going 30-14 overall, with six wrestlers going undefeated with perfect 3-0 records.

• #11 R-So. Nick Reenan was back in an NC State singlet after redshirting last season. He went 3-0 and took top honors at 184 pounds, with a pair of top-20 wins. Reenan started with an 11-3 tech fall, then pinned #20 MacCallum of Oklahoma in the first period. In his final bout, Reenan scored a 4-1 win over #6 Preisch of Lehigh, with a takedown in both the first and third periods.

• #6 Gr. Justin Oliver made his NC State debut with a perfect 3-0 mark, with two bonus points wins. He outscored his foes 34-6. In his last match, he beat Jeffries of Oklahoma 7-2.

• #17 R-So. Daniel Bullard also went 3-0. He made a comeback after being down 6-0 to win 17-11 in his first bout, then scored a pin. In his final bout, he downed Ramirez of West Virginia 6-2.

• A pair of 125-pounders ended the day a perfect 3-0. R-Fr. Zurich Storm scored three decisions, while R-So. Charlie Lenox had two bonus point wins and outscored his foes 35-6.

• True freshman Deonte Wilson was 3-0 at 285 pounds, getting a pin in his first match then winning 3-1 in OT and 5-0.
