Quoting The Players
Perry Ramsey
On her efforts in today's match...
"I just tried to hit high- we work a lot in practice on hitting high and hitting off the blockers high hands. The first point I went out there and hit high and hit off the block, and I just felt really good the whole game and it kept working for me so that's what I kept going to."
On team defensive play...
"Defense was awesome today- everyone was so locked in on defense on blocking and defensively we had so many balls that we were playing. Maggie (Speaks) was able to get to every ball because everyone dug so well. Also, everyone who played back row has been working really hard and refused to let any balls drop today."
On sweeping Ga. Tech for another ACC win...
"We've come out and won a couple of sets and let up in the third, and after the second we were very focused on getting it done and making sure that there was no let up. You never know what can happen in the following sets so we knew we had to get it done in the third set. IT may have not been perfect but we knew what we needed to do and we executed."
Maggie Speaks
On season high .398 hitting percentage...
"I think it really came down to passing. We passed really well, serve received really well and played really good defense. It all started with the defense getting me a good pass and then I was able to set up the hitters and move the ball around."
On week of practice leading to the match...
"Its really nice that we had two days off this week, and one of them was a recovery day. The next three days we came out and we made sure that we were practicing hard and making sure that we doing what we needed to do to prepare. We came out and did a good job today and it showed."
