GREENSBORO, N.C. – The NC State track and field team completed the second day of competition at the 2013 NCAA East Regional Friday evening at North Carolina A&T University.
Freshman Alexis Perry ran a season-best time of 13.58 in the women’s 100-meter hurdle prelims, besting her previous high of 13.60, but finished 26th overall and just two spots shy of a qualifying spot in Saturday’s semifinals.
In the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase, redshirt junior Samantha Norman ran a season-best 10:19.12, but finished in 17th place and just five spots short of a trip to Eugene, Ore., for the finals in two weeks. Norman’s time in the event also ranks sixth on the program’s all-time charts.
The Wolfpack will return to action Saturday, May 25 for the final day of competition at the NCAA East Regional.
