Doubles Draw l Singles Draw
CARY, N.C. - The tandem of senior Sean Weber and junior Robbie Mudge of the NC State men's tennis team fell in the final match of the doubles draw as play at the USTA/ITA Carolina Regional concluded on Monday at Cary Tennis Park.
The duo of Mudge and Weber, the tournament's No. 10 seed, was defeated by the 14th-ranked and second-seeded pair of Rafael Aita and Sam Williams of UNC Wilmington, 8-4.
For the week, Mudge and Weber defeated two of the top three seeds of the tournament, defeating third-seeded tandem of Kyle Koch and Chip Cox of South Carolina in the round of 16, before dispatching Duke's top-seeded duo of Michael Redlicki and Jason Tahir in the semifinals.
Up next, the Pack will travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to play in the Alabama Invitational Nov. 1-3.
