PHILADELPHIA – NC State sophomore Kris Kornegay-Gober of Washington, D.C., had his best jump of the season in the high jump with a mark of 6-feet, 11 ½ inches to finish seventh in his event at the prestigious Penn Relays at Penn’s Franklin Field.
In the final day of action, sophomore sprinter T.J. Graham of Raleigh was fifth in the college finals of the 100-meter race with a time of 10.58 seconds.
Graham also anchored the Wolfpack’s 4X100-meter relay team that finished fifth in the college division of the meet, which hosted more than 20,000 junior high, high school, college, professional and masters athletes during its week-long duration.
NC State’s team was clocked in a season-best time of 40.47 seconds.
Junior Kwame Boatwright of Durham, N.C., was seventh with a mark of 47-feet, 6 ½-inches in the triple jump.
After several men's and women's distance runners compete on Sunday in the Payton Jordan Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif., the Wolfpack will take next weekend off during final exams.
