RALEIGH, N.C. - Propelled by its best defensive effort of the year, NC State recorded a one-sided 74-27 victory over Presbyterian College Thursday at Reynolds Coliseum.
Freshman Breezy Williams helped the Wolfpack (5-6) topple the Blue Hose (2-6) by contributing a career-high 13 points on 5-of-12 shooting and six rebounds in her first collegiate start.
Marissa Kastanek delivered 13 points in only 17 minutes of play thanks to a 4-of-6 shooting night that included a 2-of-3 clip from three-point range.
Bonae Holston and Devin Griffin led NC State on the glass with nine rebounds each. Holston added 10 points, leaving her one board shy of a double-double despite being limited to 14 minutes of action.
Griffin played 28 minutes in her first-career start, coming away with five points and two steals.
Amber White scored 12 points on the evening by going 4-of-5 from the field and 4-of-6 from the free-throw line to become the fourth Pack player in double figures on the game.
