
Men's Tennis Downed By No. 36 Rice

HOUSTON - The NC State men's tennis team headed to Houston, Texas, and the second of the matches took place on Sunday, Feb. 23, versus No. 36 Rice. The Pack lost to the Owls 7-0, but looks ahead to home for a Wedneday match versus UNC Greensboro.
Freshman Rehman Esmail was the only NC State player to collect a set victory. In the No. 6 spot, Esmail won the first set, 7-6 (2) versus Take Morita. He lost the match, but took his opponent through two ties in the three sets which finished with scores of 6-7 (2-tie), 6-3 and 10-7 (10-tie).
NC State (2-6) will take on UNC Greensboro at 2:30 p.m. in the Cary Tennis Center, Feb. 26.
